With a few details crooks will use your information to harass you, impersonate you, trick your friends, and steal money.  With details about many people, crooks will harass organizations, trick employees, and steal money.  With details about you, crooks will harass and trick students in their efforts to steal money.  

Protect your online privacy by keeping your accounts separate.  

  • Don’t let work colleagues or students send work email to your personal accounts.  
  • Don’t let friends send personal email to your work account.
  • Don’t post unnecessary information to Facebook, social media, or shopping sites.
  • Configure all your devices to keep information separate.  
  • Don’t share information between apps.
  • Use different passwords for different accounts.
